Self-created figures

The source code for the following figure is written in html. This allows you to center it, change the size and several other attributes. This site serves as an orientation about the attributes.

All pictures are stored in the “figures”-folder under an article-specific subfolder. This subfolder should be named exactly as the article (to avoid any confusion) and contain all pictures related to the article at hand.

External sources

Of course we do not make the wasteful effort to recreate beautiful images others have created. But we do care about copyright. Here is an example of a wikimedia figure and how to cite it properly.
